    Admissions Criteria

At Serenity Mesa, we want every client to have the best chance at lasting recovery. Because of this, we have a few important guidelines for admission:

Safe environment: To protect all of our clients and staff, we are unable to accept individuals with violent histories or sexual offenses.

Support from the legal system: We work closely with probation officers, drug courts, and juvenile systems, but admission is only offered when the young person is personally ready to engage in treatment.

Readiness matters: Recovery is most successful when a client truly wants to be here—not just to avoid jail or consequences, but because they are ready to make a change.

Limited space: Our beds are limited, so we reserve them for those who are motivated to begin their healing journey.

At Serenity Mesa, we believe recovery is possible, and we are here to provide a safe, supportive space for those who are ready to take that first step.

    Life at Serenity Mesa

At Serenity Mesa, we work together to create a safe, positive, and respectful community. Everyone here is expected to show respect for themselves, other clients, and staff.
Part of being in our community is helping out with facility upkeep, responsibilities, and chores. We do this for three reasons:

    • Building Inner-wealth – Chores help you learn responsibility and give you a chance to feel proud of your work.
    • Teamwork matters – Serenity Mesa is small, and it takes all of us working together to keep it running strong.
    • Feels like home – We want this to be a place that feels comfortable, welcoming, and cared for—just like home.

As clients move through the program, they will progress through five levels. Each level is mostly based on how long the client has been in the program and if they have completed all aspects of that level successfully. With every new level, clients earn more privileges and opportunities.
